 The
Ganpati festival in Pune is celebrated with lots of enthusiasm every year
and people from all the classes of society participate in it. This
year also it was celebrated with same enthusiasm.Though the elections had
some effect on the starting days of the festival, but after first two three
days the usual fervor picked up.People thronged the streets of Pune to
see the decorations made by the Ganpati mandals from all over the city,
not only people from the city were a part of the enthusiastic
crowd but people from Ahmednagar, Nashik, Satara, Sangli, Kolhapur also

pune this year. Every day after 7 pm. in the evening all the roads
would start to get filled with people ranging from small children, collegians
to old people from all over the city, and the city would get turned to
a mega Carnival called Ganpati festival. People thronged the streets to
see the lights, music and the decorations.Famous
Ganpati Mandals like Dagdusheth and Mandai were big crowd pullers like
every year. A lot of other big mandals from the city also offered interesting,
imaginative and huge decorations to the people of Pune.During the last
four days the enthusiasm of the people soared as usual
and you could see people roaming on the streets of Pune from evening till
next day morning, it's amazing that people walk all night seeing different
decorations in the city, the food stalls, merry-go-round for children, 'chane-futane
gadi', bhel, pav-bhaji spice up the atmosphere. We have brought you the
